I am Chris Wang, a watercolour artist based in Melbourne. I paint guests live at brand activations, product launches, client and VIP dinners, end of year parties, conferences and private functions across Melbourne, Sydney and Australia-wide.
A painter working live draws a crowd. Guests stop to watch a painting finish, then stay for the next one. Each one takes five to ten minutes, about 8 an hour with two guests in most of them, so roughly 16 of your guests an hour, and every painting is handed over on the night.
The base engagement is from $1000: three hours of live painting, which covers around 48 of your guests, on 300gsm A5 cotton paper, every painting sleeved on the spot. All I need is a table and chair. Extra hours, multi-day activations and an after-event studio service are available. Public liability insurance included.
